We perform cold bluing services of smaller parts. The term cold bluing implies the surface protection of iron metals whereby, at the surface, a thin black layer of ferric FeO and Fe2O3 oxides appears, all with the purpose of corrosion protection and/or optical effect.
This black layer is only 1 micrometer thick and can, in most cases, retain the tolerance of positions on which bluing is being performed.
After bluing and due to porosity, the brunir layers have a very weak corrosion protection and therefore request further oiling, which significantly improves corrosion protection and empowers these positions for further use.
These layers are resistant to bending, erasure and temperatures up to 300 °C.
